Where flush doors work best
Bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, pooja rooms, store rooms and offices. The BWP (boiling water proof) ply face makes them suitable for bathrooms when the edges and bottom are sealed during fitting.
Which thickness should you choose?
- 30 mm: store rooms and light inner doors.
- 35 mm: the everyday choice for bedrooms and bathrooms.
- 40 mm: a heavier, quieter door, ideal with mortise locks and heavy handles.
Flush door or panel door?
Panel doors have a visible frame with raised or recessed panels and a more decorative look. Flush doors are smoother, more stable through seasonal changes and far easier to finish. If you want a panel look without the upkeep, see our mica panel doors, or go for a ready finish with laminated doors.

What is a flush door?

Can flush doors be used in bathrooms?
Yes, when they are made with BWP (boiling water proof) ply, as Plyzen flush doors are. Seal the edges and bottom during fitting. For constant water exposure, membrane doors are the fully waterproof option.
What are the standard flush door sizes?
The standard sizes are 7 x 3 ft and 7 x 2.5 ft. Plyzen makes any non-standard size at no extra charge.
Which flush door thickness is best for a bedroom?
35 mm is the most common choice for bedrooms. Choose 40 mm if you want a heavier door with better sound insulation.
